Youth

Dear KINS Parents: 

We are eager to share a very exciting transition in our shul. Recently, Ari Nussbaum assumed the directorship of the KINS youth program. He takes over for Aviva Hassan, who has given her time and vision to ensure that our children enjoy Shabbat and other events with meaning, learning and spirituality. We thank Aviva for all her terrific work and the sturdy shape that she leaves the KINS youth program.

We look forward to Ari’s educational leadership at KINS. Ari serves as a teacher at Peterson Elementary School and holds a BA in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University. He brings considerable experience in Jewish youth education. Previously, he has held youth director positions at Kehilat Chovevei Tzion and Adas Yeshurun. In addition, Ari is the Boys Camp Director at the Bernard Horwich JCC.

It is our pleasure to welcome Ari, his wife, Sarah, and their children, Lily, RJ, and Zeke, to our KINS family. We encourage everyone to introduce (or reintroduce) yourselves to Ari and trust that our KINS community will offer all its support to ensuring the best possible shul experience for the next generation of KINS and the Jewish people.
